The Biggest Little House

What I like to call the Biggest Little House I ever built was also one of the most challenging building lots I have ever been presented with. The owners had a 50 year old 256 square foot camp that was so rustic it did not include indoor plumbing. The small lot is on a point of land jutting into a lake with a small stream at the back of the property. We developed a site plan on this non-conforming lot that gave the owners the charming vacation retreat they imagined all while meeting stringent shoreland zoning criteria. Finished on a full basement, the new home is surprisingly spacious with one bedroom, cozy great room including gas fireplace and room for guests and spectacular views all in just under 400 square feet.
